A native Bendite, Steve grew up on a small acreage east of Bend.  He graduated from Bend High School in 1966.  He attended OSU for two years and then served three years in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Green Beret in Viet Nam.  After his military service, he transferred to the University of Oregon where he earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration majoring in real estate finance.  He became involved in Central Oregon real estate in 1974 after earning his degree.   

 

He has been a leader in the Bend real estate industry and an educator to his fellow brokers.  As owner, president and Principal Broker of Steve Scott Realtors, he is a prominent community figure involved in numerous organizations. Steve played a critical role in restoring the old Bend High School gym into the permanent home of the Bend Boys and Girls Club. He is a member of the Bend Chamber, and Central Oregon Board of Realtors.  Steve enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Leeann and their family, and he is a fishing and hunting enthusiast!  He keeps threatening to “slow down and play more” but so far, that hasn’t happened!  If you need a knowledgeable, tried, tested & proven broker that knows the past, present and future plans of Bend, just give Steve a call.
